The original Wild Dogs first 2 albums remastered and digitally
enhanced to provide the "ultimate experience for those who
like it hot fast and hard as the liner notes stated in 1982 only
with clarity and depth of bass which was lacking both on vinyl
and previous versions, also added are 7 bonus tracks per disc
that chronicle the birth, and the evolution of this band to the
Cult classics Reign of Terror and Dr Mastermind albums. the self
titled disc includes a trio of drummers on the earliest tunes
that originally caught the eye of a few key people: Pete Holmes(Black
n Blue, Michael Shenker) Jaime St. James (Black n Blue, Warrant)
and the newly discovered 17 year old slammer Deen Castronovo,
. Mans Best friend continues the history after the album in its original songlist with Rank n File and a few other demos recorded right after the relase of this album but never made their way into Reign of Terror . fans of that album will recognise the earlier versions mccourt sang on prior to his leaving for the Dr Mastermind Era

THE RAVERS I WAS A TEENAGE ROCKNROLLER MATT MCCOURT'S FIRST RELEASE EVER FROM 1980-1981 Produced by Andy Mckaie and includes Malice/Megadeth/Metal Church guitarist Jay Reynolds new wave meets metal with a new york twist rare collector item in original vinyl now its on cd for th efirst time originally released in 1981 on one of the first indie labels ever matchbox who helped launch teh careers of kenny G and Tom Grant the ravers were the only real rock act on the label. Matt Mccourt on guitar and vocals jay reynolds guitar Brad Simpson drums dave seville(viddy swine form the lesbian muff divers a grunge era seattle based band) Mccourt is young naive2 years before he became the madman of the 80's shock rock theatre of the bizarre called wild dogs. cashbox and billboard magazine wrote great reviews the label folded 6 months after the release and mccourt took vinyl instead of cash and blazed a trail of pre NWOBHM writers and editors who eventually would also help propel wild dogs through the press mill the ravers i was a teenage rocknroller is a good production for the time "meeting the tower of power horn section, and learning pr skills from andy for 6 weeks, i turned 20 at the time .-were probably the coolest things in the world. and the release party for the label where future malice singer/screamer james neal stripped went to the backyard, did a poo poo and rolled in it and calmy walked back in the kitchen and continued chatting as if nothing happened....then withgout warning ran out the front door and toward the freeway..............email me if youd like a copy |
