Wild Dogs Formed
in 1981 to be a live band recording engineers could gain practical
experience in exhcange for free demos a chance sighting of mike
varney on MTV doing a one time interview searching for bands with
great guitarists got my attention and we had just finished a couple
songs and sent them to him. He liked the material,put us on his
next compilation, and before we knew it we had a record deal,
at the same time local FM radio king KGON was putting together
a compilation LP of local artists and we got on that as well with
airplay.Just goes to show,if you try too hard and plan things
don't always work out( as would happen later) but for the time
being it seemed like magical luck was on our side. and the timing
couldn't have been better the NWOBHM had just begun and we were
right in the mix by accident.
