From the fault line of costa
mesa California comes a highly talented a
nd diverse gurus of the stringed instrument world
not only proving his prowess on teh 6 string taking the place
of swedish classical innovationist Yngwie Malmsteen in his first
american band Steeler on Mike Varney's Shrapnel label and moving
on to become the first g man in the band made famous by Tony
Macalpine Driver with Rudy sarzo and Tommy aldridge(Black oak
ark, Ozzy,Whitesnake, and numerous others) Later appearing with
the christian based metal band Stryoer, before joining forces
with Matt Mccourt of Wild Dogs who is also known as Dr Mastermind
and recorded a number one import in 1986 that is still in the
running for one of the best and most spontaneous albums to come
out the shrapnel factory in that time period.
running the gamut from motorhead
speed metal to classic Dio interpretations the album was filled
with everything but the kitchen sink including a drum solo by
master drummer Deen Cast

Kurt has also recorded with
original Anthrax vocalist Neil Turbin and a 
few
sessions with ex megadeth shred head Chris Poland. 1998 Kurt
appeared on the local cable show mccourt produces USMETAL TV
along with Malice drumslinger Pete Laufman. before heading off
to Spain to pursue a career as a bassist in the style of genius
JACO PASTORIUS for those of you uneducated in the ways of jazz
and modern progressive fusion Weather Report albums are a wealth
of "riffinformation" especially in teh drum and bass
category any shredder worth his weight should check out that
whole scene that brought Al Dimeola, to the forefront.it is a
